Damn, I ain't drunk that much in a long time...maybe never.

Worked them damn sheep all day, roundin up strays, even found a lamb I thought we'd lost for sure.

I was sure starvin when I got back to camp...damned if Jack didn't have somethin good cooked up...some sorta concoction with eggs and bacon and biscuits...more breakfast than supper, but a damn sight better than beans...he said his mama used to make it ev'ry Friday night.

Weather turned cool...not much breeze...no clouds...us country people notice that.

Then after we ate we just settled back...

Oh, yeah...I think he sang somethin...
