The worry of the horses is understandable and well Ennis does not care if they reimburse him for the loss of a horse but he worries about the horse itself. The feelings and the penance of Jack and his love being un said is hard and true but apart of who he is and what makes him the man he is today. Yes, if he had his way to do it again he would but that is not possible now with jack but maybe it can help him find a new way and a new life and a life with Jack and a new human being to fill his need.
