He dreamed of Jack

He could see him but he couldn’t touch him

He could see him but he couldn’t talk to him

Jack was laughing, dancing with a dark-haired girl, he wouldn’t look away from
her.

The girl walked away...a cowboy appeared...Jack kissed him.

The cowboy dissolved into nothingness
Jack was alone.

Alma and Jack walked side-by-side, staring straight ahead.

A cowboy appeared, swept Alma up in his arms
Jack was alone.

Jack was dancing with a dark-haired girl, he wouldn’t look away from her.

The girl walked away, Ennis appeared, Jack kissed him.

Ennis dissolved into nothingness
Jack was alone.

He was alone on the mountain.
He looked out over the valley stretching endlessly below
barren.

Ennis got out of bed and dressed for his wedding.
