All it took to bring back those early memories was being in the mountains again.
”Them sheep’ll drift if I don’t get back there tonight!”
“You’ll get pitched off your mount in a storm like this, wish you hadn’t tried it! Close it up!”
He never thought he’d be glad to see a hailstorm...
Didn’t even start out like that...he was worried about the damn sheep...when it came to a bad storm, how much did he owe Aguirre? Should he risk himself, the horse, to try to ride out...
Jack said no...thank God.
They’d started just sitting in the tent and drinking...howling cold outside the tent, cold inside but after a few times passing the bottle back and forth it was only natural to them, now, to share the bedroll, share their body heat...and it just took off from there...
They never talked about the sex...other things, sure...ranch life, growing up, parents, siblings (only Ennis), even school – what they liked and hated...best horses they’d owned...what they would do if they had a million dollars...
But in the tent that night...storm wailing...hail hitting the tent so hard he’d swear it’d get tore up, but them safe together...Jack said words that had silenced him then...
“What do you want?”
Silenced him because he didn’t know what he wanted, in this situation or any other, never having been asked the question before.
Jack kept asking...what do you want?...kept slowly pushing up against Ennis, the tip of his cock pressing wetly into his stomach...forward...back...forward...teasing
What do you want?...slow...maddening...rubbing...Jack’s voice rough with need, want...breathing hard...hands moving...back arching...hips pushing...pressing, lunging, prodding...
Answering this question was simpler than he’d ever thought

Wanting
Date: 2012-12-30 07:05 pm (UTC)Well, all of us have had that question asked of us, whether by someone else or by one's self to one's self. What do you want? Often the answer is confused into what do you "need." You made it so clear, that Ennis knew what he wanted and what he needed, but could never accept and act upon. Which led to a life of disquietude. I like the picture, how Ennis especially tried to close out the rest of the world and retreat into his own little tent.
Thanks again.

Date: 2013-01-01 01:00 am (UTC)Thanks so much for writing all of this. I tried to treat each entry as a separate entity, not wanting to rush through. You have written some real treasures here.
Happy New Year to you!
