By Sunday afternoon the effects of the pills had worn off and he felt better than he had in days…back pain all but gone, as well as the remnants of the dreams…he remembered nothing of them.

These months…September…October…this time of year had always been troublesome for him…that Pine Creek time of year, he was always out of sorts.

For some reason, maybe because of all the good sleep he’d gotten with those pills, his mind wasn’t clouded with grief…for some reason all day he had been thinking about some of their trips, thinking of the good times…only the good times.

Good one-shot. PS. I love that pic of Jack!. - It's from that one scene when Jack's waiting for Ennis to come on one of their visits. And Ennis arrives in his trunk, holding the fishing rods. And so Jack gets up to greet him... - If I'm remembering correctly.

Anyways. I liked it!. - I'm glad Ennis was able to focus on the good times with Jack, then the bad. But he def doesn't' need to get addicted to pain-pills. :/
