”Down in Texas Jack's father-in-law died and Lureen, who inherited the farm equipment business, showed a skill for management and hard deals. Jack found himself with a vague managerial title, traveling to stock and agricultural shows. He had some money now and found ways to spend it."

It wasn't supposed to be different.

They were all supposed to be the same, they were all supposed to run together - and they always did...nameless, faceless voices and bodies.

Not that there were that many - couple times a year, sometimes not even that.

In fact, it was pretty much just like the other guy...the one who had a name and a face and a body he knew as well as his own...the one he had a history with...the one he loved.

But these casual ones always followed a deliberate pattern...never the same one twice, nothing personal...just business, of a sort.

As he got older he realized, of course, that what he got from these assignations wasn't what he wanted or needed. The want and need could only be satisfied in Wyoming, in the mountains, in Ennis's arms.

Goddamn him.

And fuck him.

Jack woke facing Michael's back and immediately became aroused at the sight, and at the thoughts crowding in of the last several hours.

Not wanting to hurt, but not taking any time to get him ready or even to know if he was awake, he slowly started to push in.

“Goddamn it, Jack!” It was a low, harsh, whispered growl.

Michael moved his hand back to Jack's hip, pulling him in closer, “You fuckin read my mind...”

Ten minutes later, sheets and blanket shoved in a mass on the floor, both men on opposite sides from where they had started, bed and bodies streaked with copious amounts of various types of DNA, Michael relaxed with a sigh on Jack's back, arms around him.

"That's what I'm talkin about.”

sometimes it happens

Sometimes these chance encounters trying to fulfill the need that is left empty by the ones we truly want do find a way to be different and good yet not good but still good and something wanting in them and how we fool ourselves into thinking that we could move forward with this person but than reality comes to fruition and we find ourselves hurting again and pain and suffering follow and that is the dangerous part when we may just do some risky things that will end up hurting us more than those we are trying to forget or fulfill. Dear Friend,

Please know that I am laughing while I write this to you, but you do know you are doing to make some people very mad by writing MO!Jack so well and with such appeal?

I do cringe, but Michael is beginning to grow on me.

Michael is affectionate, caring and...HOT. I'm sure he will be a keeper for some lucky guy some day.

I so desperately want Jack to be happy
this man could be his second chance but his heart is still with Ennis and therefore he will stay miserable
so often life is not fair

I know this sounds crazy: I can't read MO Ennis stories but I have absolutely no problem with MOJack Stories

Hmmm, wonder what it would be like for Jack if he took Michael on a camping trip in the mountains. Wouldn't have to go all the way to Wyoming, Colorado Rockies would do. What an angsty chapter that would be!

Still Ennis is first in Jack's heart but there is always the possibility of Jack founding someone who is not in denial and certainly Jack said that for him was not enough what Ennis was giving him and in the high mountains. This is a wonderful change of other stories. Thank you very much for sharing. Martha

A Jack move-on story?

You know, Ennis NEVER has ANY right to request Jack to be 'loyal' to him. Oh yes, if you treat somebody as your dirty little secret, you have absolutely NO right on that person.

So I would say go for it Jack! You already wasted ebough time on some coward who doesn't even deserve your love!

Is this the beginning of Jack moving on for real? My heart is breaking for Ennis but this is a 'real' story and while my heart may break I will reconcile with whatever way you choose to play it out.

Thank you
