”Down in Texas Jack's father-in-law died and Lureen, who inherited the farm equipment business, showed a skill for management and hard deals. Jack found himself with a vague managerial title, traveling to stock and agricultural shows. He had some money now and found ways to spend it."

It wasn't supposed to be different.
They were all supposed to be the same, they were all supposed to run together - and they always did...nameless, faceless voices and bodies.
Not that there were that many - couple times a year, sometimes not even that.
In fact, it was pretty much just like the other guy...the one who had a name and a face and a body he knew as well as his own...the one he had a history with...the one he loved.
But these casual ones always followed a deliberate pattern...never the same one twice, nothing personal...just business, of a sort.
As he got older he realized, of course, that what he got from these assignations wasn't what he wanted or needed. The want and need could only be satisfied in Wyoming, in the mountains, in Ennis's arms.
Goddamn him.
And fuck him.
Jack woke facing Michael's back and immediately became aroused at the sight, and at the thoughts crowding in of the last several hours.
Not wanting to hurt, but not taking any time to get him ready or even to know if he was awake, he slowly started to push in.
“Goddamn it, Jack!” It was a low, harsh, whispered growl.
Michael moved his hand back to Jack's hip, pulling him in closer, “You fuckin read my mind...”
Ten minutes later, sheets and blanket shoved in a mass on the floor, both men on opposite sides from where they had started, bed and bodies streaked with copious amounts of various types of DNA, Michael relaxed with a sigh on Jack's back, arms around him.
"That's what I'm talkin about.”
